Adult Player - Deirdre Lambe Tournament

The Ladies football section is running the Deirdre Lambe Memorial Tournament this year on Saturday 8th of November (in Na Fianna and time TBC). There is a €10 registration fee for adult players. All proceeds raised are in aid of Headway Ireland.

A talented administrator and mentor, Deirdre Lambe played an instrumental role in the development of Ladies Football in Na Fianna. She and a dedicated group of like minded mentors saw the opportunity and the potential that existed for the growth of the game in Na Fianna as the club began to see huge numbers of juvenile girls progress from Nursery into underage and onto Adult level.

Ladies footballers within the club from our minor and adult teams will take part in the competition. Teams will be chosen and they will battle it out throughout the morning into the afternoon. The expression of interest link will be sent into team group chats in the coming weeks. Spectators and supporters are more than welcome and encouraged to come along to cheer!

It’s a fantastic opportunity for players from different teams to connect and for us to introduce our younger players to the world of adult football. The tournament is all about building friendships, with a touch of healthy competition — exactly the way Deirdre would have wanted.

The tournament will finish up in the afternoon and all club members, along with the teams involved are invited back to the Mobhi Suite later on from 7pm onwards to come together and celebrate.
