In order to recognise and incentivise young players to become better goalkeepers, we are delighted to launch a 'Goalkeeper of the Month' award in the club for under 8 to Under 16 groups.

Very simply, coaches can nominate individuals who they feel merit consideration at the end of each month. This can be related to being willing to try the position (in the case of younger players), additional dedication to practising, performance levels in games or some combination of above.

To nominate a player, simply email niall.cooper@clgnafianna.ie before the end of each month with the players name and reasons for nomination. Nomination can be for performances in any code and 4 prizes will be awarded each month:

CCC1 Boys GK of the Month / CCC1 Girls GK of the Month

CCC2 Girls GK of the Month / CCC2 Boys GK of the Month
