Calling club coaches! Part 1 of Na Fianna's annual coaching forum (supported this year by Affidea Ireland ) takes place next Monday Jan 31: online talk with fitness expert Paul Opperman.
Paul is a Performance Coach and Sports Therapist and a founder of the Dublin Sports Clinic. Paul's own sporting passions are athletics and rugby; he also has national indoor titles at 100 & 200m alongside his participation in the Sydney Olympics on the Irish 4*400m relay team.
Paul has a Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Management from UCD and has worked as Speed coach to some of the countries top Athletes and Teams, including both men's and women's Dublin Senior football teams. Coaching efficient movement and developing overall functional strength are skills that Paul believes are critical elements to injury prevention and achieving both health and performance goals. He features regularly as a Fitness Expert on Newstalk and Today Fm and works on many campaigns with Sport Ireland.
