The number of teams participating in juvenile competitions has increased significantly in the last few years, which is a welcome development. However, this does mean we require a greater number of referees to officiate at games.

Dublin Bórd na nÓg have told us they have an acute shortage of referees at CCC2 level and also at adult level. From 2022, all clubs will be required to have one referee for every two teams entered in competition: clubs who fail to have the required number of referees will not be allowed to enter competitions in 2022.

So if you've ever thought you might like to be a ref, this is your moment! Dublin Coaching and Games Development Department are arranging training courses throughout the year and we need you.
