Congratulations to Na Fianna Rounders Adult Mixed team that won their first game of the 2020 season last night. Our opponents were St. Kevin's from Crumlin/ South inner city. It was a very competitive game ending 18-16 to Na Fianna. Some fantastic performances from Na Fianna players especially Darragh O'Tuama with some excellent fielding, Siobhan O'Carroll with a no. of outs on 2nd base, Liam Whelehan with great pitching and fielding and the father/daughter combination of Damian Murphy and Rachel Jamieson-Murphy with some great fielding and batting. Congrats also to Karen McHugh and Mairead  Varley for some great batting and fielding and to debutants Eva Waters and Aoife Gately on some great plays (making it another father daughter combination - surely a first in GAA circles to have 2 father/daughter combinations on the one GAA team!) on some great plays. And finally to Mike Lang for making it all happen, not to mention his excellent performance as Cathcher and his all round general play. Next game is 23rd Aug in Portlaoise.
