A Chairde,
CLG Na Fianna welcomes yesterday’s very positive Government Covid-19 announcement regarding the return to sport and today's joint GAA, Camogie Association and LGFA statement, see link here
While a number of issues remain outstanding and we await further direction, the Club Executive, working with team mentors will now take the time to decide on the best way to progress Na Fianna’s return to games and will communicate this in due course. In the meantime all members are encouraged to read the Return to Play document which can be found on Covid-19 Education resource page on the GAA’s Learning website.
Three further points for information;
1. E-learning module
All members returning to games i.e. players/mentors/parents/guardians must complete the Covid-19 Club Education e-Learning module for Gaelic Games. It takes just 20 mins to complete and must be done before returning to training/games. The module is available to complete here
2. All teams must nominate a Covid Supervisor who must undergo the online education module and will be responsible for the following:
- Maintaining records of attendees. Data management will be consistent with GDPR guidelines and is outlined in the educational module.
- Distributing and collating a player and backroom Health Questionnaires before the initial training session back. This health questionnaire can be filled out online or in hard copy. The Health Questionnaire will need to be completed once, before the initial return to training. It will be the responsibility of the individual/parent to inform the team’s Covid Supervisor of any change in circumstance before subsequent sessions. An online system for the Health Questionnaire will be provided centrally by the GAA. This is the only online system that should be used. Further details in relation to the online solution will be circulated when we receive them, but it is not available at time of writing. An explanatory video of how this will work can be viewed here.
- Ensuring sanitising of facilities is completed before and after each training session of game (e.g.Toilets, door handles etc). There will be specific guidelines for each venue we train in.
- Ensuring sanitisation of all equipment used after every training session (e.g footballs, sliothars, etc).
- Temperature checking will not be the responsibility of the clubs.
3. Summer Camps
The Club will be running Summer Camps after July 20th. Final dates and details will be published later this weekend. To those who previously signed up for the Cúl Camp in Na Fianna, if you have not already, you will receive a mail from Croke Park outlining your options, which will include an option to re-book for the new dates.
Finally, ALL Na Fianna playing facilities remain closed and no pitch bookings can be made. Thanks to everyone for your continuing co-operation.
